main i had hokkaido seafood (with sea urchin) rice set (the one with the pot and timer thingy)... shared some sushi (i had ONE salmon sushi)...

won't be able to taste much tofu ... but its not so rich as a pure cheesecake..

My dad got snookered by his friend into attending one.... he had to pay $15.....

Luckily, he didn't buy any of the bullsh*t in that seminar..... and I don't think he's on speaking terms with that friend any more....

Honestly, I'd attend one if I was invited to it. It would be fun to introduce chaos into the seminar by pointing out all the scientific fallacies of 'alkaline water' and 'magnetic bangles'.

Well, there are free seminars.

And even if I have to pay, as long as it doesn't cost too much, a few bucks is worth the kick I can get out of poking fun of people's ignorance....

Just like how a friend of mine once tried to peddle alkaline water to me.... I told her bluntly, 'If I drink this bottle of piss, and it works as advertised, I'm gonna sue you and your company for giving me liver failure'.

Nah..... it was just a friend of mine who tried to sell it.....

She just turned away in a huff when I said that...... eventually she came to her senses and quit the company.

She wouldn't tell me how much she earned, citing 'confidentiality agreements' with the company.

But one thing's for sure: if she had made a profit, she would have been more than happy to tell me, confidentiality agreement or not.

It's supposedly mildly alkaline. They said that it could enter the bloodstream and help neutralize the toxins and acids in human blood.

Somehow, they kinda left out the part where the stomach is super-acidic and that human blood contains buffers to control pH levels.

And that if blood pH changes by more than a whisker, a lot of the body's enzymes will stop working and the body will go kaput.
